    We found "Swissy" in pretty rough shape and was basically skin and bones. We bought her in November of 2006, gave her some quality nutrition and TLC (she looks pretty good now, doesn't she?). After studying her history we found some interesting facts. First, Swiss Deal was a very good racehorse. She made nearly $250K at the track and was a stakes winner.

    Second, she's apparently only been bred twice during her life and has only one foal of racing age. That foal, Lugano, is a lower to mid-level claimer that consistently hits the board. So, even through Swiss Deal's a little long in the tooth, we feel there's some potential left in the old girl to produce a quality foal.
